The VATH precision turning heads (VALTEC Turning Heads) from Valtec were specifically developed for rotary transfer machines and indexing table machines. With one turning head, up to 5 tools can be in use simultaneously. Depending on the size of the turning head, different turning ranges can be set.
The VATH turning heads allow several machining operations to be performed simultaneously on a workpiece. Insert holders for external machining, holders for internal and external chamfering, various center tools for internal machining, as well as drilling tools for concentric holes, can all be used simultaneously to perform multiple machining operations on a single workpiece.
